Customer Email Cars w/ Info – Updated 7/09/19
We are always getting pics of cars sent to us with little bits of info about them.   We wanted to start featuring them in our emails and on our Blog and Social Media, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.  (If the pic came from one of the members of Tri-Five and ChevyTalk forums, per our requests, your affiliation is noted iin your write-up).  The cars are numbered and posted here in the order that we are using them in our emails for easy reference.  (It should also keep us from duplicating cars).  If you send us your pic be sure to tell us a little about your ride so we can tell everyone. Our thanks to everyone who has or will send pics…we can’t wait to show them off.  And don’t forget to tell us about your build.

Seth writes: My 1956 Chevy Bel Air 4dr Hardtop RHD has been fitted with the following: March Serpentine Belt System, CPP hydroboost Hydraulic Brake booster, Art Morrison Front Suspension, IDIDIT steering column, LQ9 Engine, 4L80E transmission, Front 6 piston and rear 4 piston Wilwood brakes, Dakota Digital VHX gauges, 25 gallon CPP gas tank, Con2R Steering wheel, Lokar pedals, Luxor 100 wire spoke Rims, IDIDIT Touch-N-Go Keyless Start Ignition System. The car was produced in Tarrytown NY plant in June 1956 and was one of the just over 16,500 of this model produced at this plant.

Jim Kagley sent us this pic of his ’55.  He writes:  I am the second owner and I bartered for this car in 1965.  Having about 50 dollars in the barter.  Drove the car to high school.  He went to Vietnam, returned home and drove it another year or two.  It was barn kept until 2015 when we began the restoration.  The restoration was completed in one and half years.  The motor is LS and polished.  The interior was done by Steve Holcomb (Pro-Custom Auto).

Jerry sent us this pic of his Nomad.  He writes: Rusty relic rescued from Delaware Salt, Body Off build and a Roadster shop chassis. All coilovers, power rack & pinion, Wilwood fronts, 4-Link 9 in Ford rear end with 3:73 posi. I’ve added an LSA engine, 4L85E trans, complete rewire, new 3″ exhaust system, built and installing a 30 gallon aluminum gas tank, a and planned new vinyl interior after I tub it.. I’m 76 years old and am doing the work myself in one side of 2 car garage. now becoming a driver in San Diego, CA. Planning on tours! Thanks Danchuk for Many Great Parts…

Larry sent us this pic of his ’57.  He writes: I’ve owned this car since 1987.  When I got it, it ran but that is about all one could say.  It has undergone a body off restoration and now has a 327 engine with a Lunati cam, forged pistons, Patriot headers, Holley sequential fuel injection, 700R4 transmission, Camaro 8.5 ten bolt rear end with 3.73 gears and positraction. It has GMC truck bucket seats and a stock rear seat.  It also has Old Air air conditioning, cruise control, AM-FM cassette radio with a CD player.  And lots more.  My wife and I take it on at least one Hot Rod Road Tour each summer. It has proven to be very reliable.

Kaye Duyvestyn sent us this pic of his ’57.  He writes: Our Chev was imported in 2010 and we bought it later that year.  It was in very good mechanical condition but the body was in undercoat with no windows or stainless.  These parts were wrapped and in the boot.  We removed the body from the chassis and then stripped it of paint and added new floor sections and other minor parts.  The chassis was stripped, cleaned and painted as were the engine and trans.  The car was then moved to a body shop for finishing and painting.  From there it went to a relative who is a mechanic who completely rewired the car as well as fitting Vintage Air and a Dakota Digital VHX dash.  It then came back home for the interior and windows and trim to be fitted.  The project took us 3 and a half years to complete.  We drive it regularly and also tow a classic caravan to events.
