There are many Danchuk Dealers and Jobbers all over the world. DM Conversions, in Butler, Wisconsin, are one of our Jobbers and they sent along these pics of a project they did. Have a look.
This cool ’57 was sent in to us by Dan Bennett. Thanks for sharing, Dan. We love it.
Dan writes… “My restoration began in 1982 when I came across an old ’57 Chevy in Scottsdale, AZ. I was lucky enough to purchase, flat bed hauled back to Georgia. Once home, I put into an aircraft hanger and went to work. I had a rough copy within 8 years, but not to my satisfaction. I came close to selling this car several times mostly due to frustration. I came close to giving up, but I didn’t.
Most of my parts for this Chevy came from Danchuck and I thought you might be interested in seeing what your parts did for my project. I’ve taken Best In Show many times and I still baby this thing as if it were a pregnant woman. Hopefully, I might see my Chevy in some of your publications or on the Internet.
The restoration to my satisfaction took about 14 years total. Kindest regards,
Dan Bennett Dalton, Georgia”
This next one was sent in to us by Dave Schmidt. Check out his pics….
Dave writes… “On Valentine’s Day 2021 we received 13 inches of snow in western Washington, so I backed my 57 Bel Air out of the garage to take some pictures of it in the snow and titled the pictures: “SANTA’S OTHER SLEIGH”.
I’ve owned this car since 1997. In 2005, I completed a 2 year frame on restoration in my garage doing all of my own work. The car has a 350 engine, a freshly installed 200 R4 automatic overdrive transmission. The paint is Chrysler Inferno Red Tinted Pearl. I recently installed a new interior from Ciadella Interior,Tempe, Arizona. It’s a pleasure to drive”.
We round out the group with this ’57 from Kaye Duyvestyn of Australia. How would you like to run this rig down to the lake?
