Since it is the time of the year we make our Seconds available to our customers we wanted to show you these too.  But this is a little different situation so we felt that more information was going to be necessary so we make sure everyone knows what the problems are with this part and why it is a Second.  Also, as these are no longer being produced the ones we have with this defect are the only ones left in the world.  As such, we cannot replace these Seconds with a First Run part if you are not happy because there are no more available.

The main reason these were deemed Seconds are pointed out in the photos.  It is an issue with the tool used to stamp these and it effects the bottom of the bumper at the curves where the front curves into the sides of the car.  The company making these has decided not to try and fix or replace the tool.  So there will be no more unless someone else decides to make them.  We took the photos of the problem areas and tried to point them out so there were no surprises.  We also took video so you could see how they looked from the front and all over.

The Danchuk Seconds Sale Is Almost Gone Until 2020

We make many parts and unfortunately some of them do not meet our specifications for a First Run Danchuk Part.  So, we have Seconds.  When we have our sale each September we only advertise the parts we have in abundance so we don’t disappoint too many people.  On October 16 we updated the Seconds list with what we still have available from the first batch and all the items we only have one or two of.  But Hurry.  We won’t update the list again until 2020.  Continue reading →

It’s Almost Time To Put Our Babies To Bed

As the days get shorter and the evenings become cooler there are not too many more months left to enjoy our toys.  Soon, most of us will have to put them away until the warmer temperatures return.

To help you make sure your car comes out of hibernation in the best condition it can we put together a quick checklist of things you should probably be doing when that time comes.  Read On.

  • The first is a no brainer.  You want to find a safe, secure and dry spot to store your car.  Excess moisture can really take a toll when left unchecked for months. 
  • Wash your car.  And be sure to clean top and underneath.  Road debris and grime needs to be cleaned away so it does not create problems.
  • Wax the car.  Besides being a lot of fun, waxing will help maintain the shine and will protect and preserve the color of your paint during the winter months.

Who’s thinking about Christmas already? Not many, but Danchuk is!  We are preparing our 2019 Christmas Sale catalog, and we would like to include a few Tri-Five Christmas themed photos from our customers to make it more…Christmassy.

We won’t be able include all your submissions, of course, but if you have a nice Christmas themed photo or two of your Tri-Five that you would like to share with the world, please submit them by September 30th, 2019 by using the Contact Form below.

Coronavirus Virtual Car Show – Week One

We don’t know about you but we are more than just a little bummed that this coronavirus thing has arrived to take over our lives. Hey…it’s Car Show Season and we are supposed to be out enjoying spring and our cars after a long winters nap. And now, with this thing, we can’t. This is a very serious situation of course, but we thought maybe a little distraction while we are all on house arrest would be one way to combat the boredom, other than working on our Tri-Five Chevys.

So, for the next few weeks until they can get this under control and cut us all loose we are going to host a Virtual Car Show with winners chosen by Christine Danchuk by random drawing (she will pick your submissions out of a hat or something). We will have x number of winners who will get….and we will do the drawing for the winners during a Facebook Live Video Broadcast so if you want to tune in and watch you can.
