Since 1976, when we turned out our first 1957 Chevy parklight lens, it's been our policy to find ways to refine and improve products and services. As a result, Danchuk remains the largest manufacturer and distributor of 1955-56-57 Chevrolet restoration and performance parts in the world.
Danchuk's commitment to excellence began in 1968, when brothers Art and Dan Danchuk became partners in the manufacturing and marketing of their own line of precision surveying equipment. With their combination of knowledge and experience in tool and die and mold making, Danchuk soon diversified. They began producing tooling for such distinguished clients as General Motors, IBM, Mattel Toys, Cragar Wheels, Xerox, and Teledyne.
The Danchuks' love of auto restoration prompted an entry into the world of Chevy reproduction parts in January of 1977. The initial success was so overwhelming, they directed all their energy into manufacturing only '55, '56 and '57 Chevy parts, and have been going strong ever since. Each year we add to our list of parts we manufacture and distribute, making the selection of restoration and aftermarket parts incredible, and our catalog the most complete in the industry. We do our best to bring you parts that are superior to both the originals and all other reproductions on the market today. We take pride in producing parts that look better, fit better, last longer, are made in the United States of America and are competitively priced. We hope you agree that with Danchuk's restoration parts, "There's No Comparison!"
In 2006 we decided to open a second shipping facility, so in addition to shipping from our headquarters in Santa Ana, California, we opened our Brownsburg, Indiana facility. It took lots of work to get up and running, but we’ve never regretted making the decision to open it. We were looking for a way to get our products closer to a good majority of our customers. We realized that for those on the opposite side of the country, the 5 to 7 business days that it could take to get an order from Danchuk was just unacceptable, almost down-right bad customer service. So now with a central location like Indiana, most orders shipped UPS Ground can get to your doorstep within 3 business days without having to incur expedited charges for the East and Mid portions of the Continental U.S. And, of course, the Western portion still ships from our Santa Ana, California headquarters. Not to mention that shipping costs are lower because our orders are not traveling the long distances they were before. And since we charge actual shipping the savings are passed along to our customers.
Make sure to come by and see us if you are ever in the Southern California area. We have a large showroom where we display our reproduction parts in a nostalgic setting. Plus, an automobile display area where a fully restored 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible; a 1955 Turquoise Nomad; and Drag Racing legend, Tom "the Mongoose" McEwen's '57 Chevy Dragster are displayed among other gems from the Danchuk collection. Also on display is a 1957 Chevy Bel Air which has cut-away body panels, parts, and all mechanical components so that you can visually inspect the inner workings of this American classic.
Our customer service representatives receive hundreds of phone calls per day. Not only do they take phone orders, they also offer friendly and knowledgeable technical advice as well as serve our walk-in customers.
The heart of Danchuk is the manufacturing department. Only after much research and documentation are complete is production begun by our knowledgeable production staff. With such a diverse inventory of products being produced, extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes is a necessity.
Our ever-increasing inventory is cataloged and advertised by an in-house art and photography department. We publish our catalog annually, quarterly newsletters and advertise in many national publications.
For those who can’t come to California to visit Danchuk, Danchuk comes to you with our tractor and trailer. Manned by Dale Keesee, this 75’ rig tours the car show circuit year round. It includes a beautiful Jet-Powered ‘57 Chevy, the “Dream Machine III” and displays for our parts lines. For a complete schedule of shows click on the “Schedule” tab at the top of the page.
Working together, we are continually seeking to improve our service and product quality. We thank you for your loyalty!
The Danchuk brothers feel very strongly about manufacturing in the U.S.A. It upsets them to see the direction our country as taken by manufacturing so many products overseas. These Chevy’s that we all know and love, are truly icons of classic Americana, and deserve quality reproduction parts that are made in the U.S.A! So if you care in the least about preserving the integrity of our beloved classics demand parts made in the U.S.A.
